Let's explain each component that we displayed on the image so that you can better understand it:
Hue: Every time we mention hue, we are actually talking about the object's current color. For example, the blue is hue as it is other color like green or red.
Chroma: When we talk about chroma, we refer to the purity of the hue, which depends on the shades of gray. From the pipe in the image, we can see that the gray color can vary from 0 to 10.
For example, the fewer shades we will have, the better and higher the chroma we receive will be; the more shade that we add to the gray color, the more the hue will reduce its own chroma.
Saturation: This indicates the level of purity of a hue. The concept is similar to the chroma, but it is not the same thing; for example, pure hues are more clearly visible when they are highly saturated, but when we add more gray shades, the overall color becomes desaturated.
Intensity: Intensity means that we are clearing the brightness of a color to make it seen better, or we remove the brightness thus removing the shines of the color, making its visibility harder to perceive as a specific color. We can remove the brightness of a color by adding or removing the white or black color. When the color has the right amount of intensity and it is highly saturated, that color can have a high chroma as well.
Value: Using value or luminance, we measure the amount of light that is reflected from the color and check how dark or light the hue of that color is. Adding more black to a hue will make the color darker and decrease or lower the value (luminance), but adding white will make it lighter and will increase the value or luminance.
Shade: The shades are the result of adding black to the hue for producing the darker hue.
Tint: Tint is the opposite of shade, which is the result of adding white to a hue to produce or create a lighter hue.
Tone: Tone, sometimes called the color tones, is the result of adding gray to a hue, which we usually refer to as the gray that is in between the white and black one. It is also good to know that we can create color tones using shades and tints.
